Many of our customers leave for the summer months. Here are some tips on how to safely store your golf cart when you leave more a longer period of time.

  1. Lead Acid Batteries. If you have lead acid batteries, disconnect the batteries prior to departing.
  2. Lithium Batteries. If you have lithium batteries, you can leave the batteries connected but you should turn off the pain power switch.
  3. Storage Area. It is best to store you golf cart indoors to protect it from harsh elements and theft. If this is not possible, considering buying an anti-theft lock and cover the golf cart completely with a well-fitting storage cover.

Many customers are not sure if they need their golf cart to be street legal (LSV). This depends on where the golf cart is being used. We recommend the following:

  3. Power. Do you want electric, gas or lithium?
  4. Warranty. Consider the manufacturer’s warranty and what is covered.
  5. Street Legal

Lithium batteries are becoming the most popular choice when it comes to golf cart batteries. There are many reasons for this:

  1. Longevity – The batteries last longer before they need to be replaced.
  2. Lighter weight. They make the golf cart lighter.
  3. Faster Charge. Lithium battery packs charge faster than lead acid batteries.
  4. No Maintenance. There is no maintenance required for lithium batteries.
